Welcome to Erdman
We believe that children learn by doing: painting, cooking, building, singing, actively connecting with nature, sharing and playing with others.
Our students' learning experience is varied, hands-on, and relates to the world around us. In the Fall, we learn about apples, leaves, harvesting of cranberries, pumpkins, and Halloween. We may pick apples and make our own applesauce, or chop and cut vegetables for soup!
In the winter we investigate snow and ice and sled on our small hill. We learn to care for animals and people needing extra help during the cold months. We welcome spring by heading outside to visit a farm, hatch butterflies, incubate chicken eggs and explore the beach and its ecosystem.
We explore the world around us while weaving in learning about the alphabet, numbers, our names, being a good friend, self help skills, learning to use our words, strengthening our bodies, sharing, problem solving, and a love of learning.
We have a lot of fun through hands-on, play-based experiences while learning at Erdman Preschool.
